I can't believe I just wrote all that stuff, and it didn't come up. Ouch!

       Hello there. My wife said she can't take it anymore. So here I am. Looking for someone else to speek to. Frustrating out here, isn't it. I was thinking to myself the other day, how nice it must have been to have been born a century ago. Up to now, all americans had one thing they could they could count on. Being able to have some control over your own life, and reap rewards for had, fair work. You already know what's coming next, so I'll save it. Instead I would like to talk about the education farce in this country. I'm not talking about the front lines here. More power to anyone who is willing to teach. What's going on in between. For over fourty years I have been preaching we are heading down a path I call the "Dumbification Of America". It seems that the path of lowering standard, instead of meeting them, was becoming the standard. Low and behold, here we find ourselves in quite a pickle over the resulting atmosphere. It seems the govt. may have had a long term agenda more far-fetched than we thought. To promote a society of people that, for lack of any other term, simply "dumb". Ah, come on, you know what I mean. Hell, I'm not talking about hearing loss here. Anyway, now here we are, surrounded by a generation of folks that just don't care. Acting without thought of result. Politically, making choices, opposite, of what anyone with an "old-fastioned" idea, may have wanted them to choose, and that being the only reason. And the older generations that gave in to false claims for assistance, claiming disability, and working "under the table". Who have given in to corruption, singular as it may be, that has eroded our entire reason for being. Now, the standards we have accepted in our educational system make no sense.It is the reason for so much of or corruption. Where is the pride in being the best gone. Why do we as a society allow this "sympathetic adjustment" to go on? If a child can't keep up, don't hold the others back, don't move the child that isn't ready, up.If a black man scores better than a white man, give him the job. But dammit, give it to the white man scores better, please don't take it away because he is not a minority.  It is what it is. No matter how the coin falls, it is what it is. I have watched our media dictate their will onto to so many who just don't understand the power, the spell, that they have fallen under.Now our politicians have become "rock stars". There is more pressure to perform well in the bedroom, than in the senate. There is more Viagra pumped into our muscles, than facts pumped into there minds. This political system we have is modeled after the wrestling shows that are so popular. It's just a show. These people are after our souls, all of them, now. This must be considered in 2010. If anyone thinks I am being paranoid, they would be right. We MUST better educate our future, our children, and anyone who will listen. This society is heading for a change that may never resemble the USA we all love so much. Rose is dis-pleased, hum, to do?
